From sign-up to your first upload, let's get started quickly!

Step 1. Sign Up
Currently, Moeyo requires an invite code to sign up.
- Go to moeyo.ai/login
- Enter your invite code in the Have an invite code? section
- Click Sign Up
- Click Continue with Google to complete sign-up!
Invite codes are distributed by existing users or through events.
Already have an account?
Click Continue with Google to log in directly.
Set Your Handle
Your handle becomes your profile URL.
- 3-20 characters
- Must start with a lowercase letter, end with a lowercase letter or number
- Underscores (_) and hyphens (-) allowed in the middle
- Can be changed later (7-day cooldown)
Select Your Interests
Choose the taxon groups you frequently observe. This helps us recommend personalized content.
You can change this later in settings.
Step 2. Your First Upload
Click Upload in the left menu to open the image upload page.
Click Select Files or Select Folder to choose your photos.
- Up to 100 images at once
- Subfolders included
- HEIC/HEIF supported
Step 3. Everything Is Handled Automatically
Once you select photos, processing starts automatically.
- Image optimization - Thumbnail generation and resizing
- Species identification - Automatically identifies from ~37,000 species
- Clustering - Automatically groups by species
Processing takes a few seconds to tens of seconds depending on the number of photos.
Step 4. Review Results
Photos identified as the same species are organized into cards.
Click a card to view all photos of that species.
What if the result is wrong?
Don't worry if a species was misidentified. Click the card and correct it in the identification panel.
Just upload! You can always edit later in your Lifebook.
What are identification statuses?
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Agree | Confirm the result is correct |
| Assign | Assign species with confidence |
| ? Assume | Probably this species |
| Hold Off | Will identify later |
| Cannot ID | Cannot identify |
Step 5. Final Upload
Once you're done reviewing, click Final Upload!
Step 6. Check Your Lifebook
Upload complete! Now check your records in your Lifebook.
Congratulations!
You've completed your first upload. Now start building your personal species collection!
