Coreoperca herzi is a freshwater fish native to rocky streams in Korea. Males guard eggs attached beneath rocks, fanning water over them with their fins.

Its body is flattened from side to side, with a large mouth, dark bars, and an eye-like spot on each gill cover. Adults are often about 6–8 in (15–20 cm) long.
